A Hungarian man among the worlds most creative entrepreneurs


David Tibor was selected as one of the three finalists for the 2008 JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (JCI CYEA) in an international competition in New Delhi.

For the Junior Chamber Award, which was founded nearly a 100 years ago, 283 entries were received from all over the world. The Junior Chamber International is the biggest leadership-generative organization in the world for youngsters below 40, which was founded in 1910 in the United States. Today it is present in 115 countries, with more than 5000 local organizations and nearly a quater of a million members. It has a permanent representation in the UN and in the European Counsil. The hungarian organization of JCI was founded in September 1989 with the aim to provide possibility to young business men and intellectuals to develop their leadership and contact system. JCI has annuonced for the third time the Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (CYEA). The award has been established with the aim to attract attention to young , outstanding entrepeneurs whose success is mainly due to their creativity. The concept of creativity includes to develop a product or service, a unique approach to a target market or even reaching positive changes  with the applied strategy while taking over a company. The belgian initiated competition receives applications from all over the world. In 2008, 283 business men have matched their creativity which is by 45% more compared to last year. The world finale was held in New Delhi, where a jury consisting of international experts have chosen beside a malay and argentin business men the hungarian David Tibor among the world three most creative young entrepeneurs. In the world finale, the competitors first had to present their company’s history in english, than answer professional questions of a committee of three, without any time to think. The final champion, the malaysian Dato’ Edmund Santhara has taken over the governance of a state school in 2001 and within three years has increased the number of students from seventy to ten thousand. His aim is, until 2010 to establish the worlds largest medical college. The 32 years old David Tibor, who came second, is a member of the hungarian JCI. He received his business degree from the College of Modern Business Studies. He is married and has three children. Together with his partner Balázs Ács, they founded Masterplast in 1997 which due to its dynamic development and expansion became one of the leading producer and trader of building material in the region. Masterplast grew from a 5-employee company to an international company with more than  700 employees and revenues of 25 billion Forint. It has 15subsidiaries and has export contacts in a further 11 countries. Masterplast’s philosophy focuses on customer oriented approach, continuous development and well established partnerships.
