In the past four years, in the place of a run-down plant in Kál, Heves county, Masterplast Group has built up a site that has several production- and depot hall.
So far the company has invested more than a billion HUF in the region and they now employ a staff of nearly a hundred people in the area, where recently a roofing foil printing, perforating and rewinding machine has been located as well
„Despite the slump, innovations have not stopped. Soon, a new innovation will follow the roofing foil printing, perforating and rewinding machine that has been located in the recent past. We are developing a machinery that produces corner bead - an element of the facade thermal insulation system - so that we can further extend the current high quality.” – said Mr. Dávid Tibor, CEO of Masterplast Group.
In Kál, the company first started to produce PE underlays back in 2005 where next to the extant 2800 m2 production hall they built a 1200 m2 warehouse. For the second production line – that operates with bigger capacity - the company built a 3300 m2 warehouse. Next to it they later located the production of drywall profiles, plaster profiles and corner bead profiles which right now are to be found in a 1400 m2 production hall. A 6000 m2 open-air depot belongs to this hall as well.
So all together there is 10 000 m2 production- and warehouse capacity at the plant in Kál. So far the company has invested more than a billion HUF in developments and according to calculations this can return within 7 years. Talking about innovative developments, other strategic considerations are playing a part too: with the roof foil confection production line for example, the company can handle the problems - arising from the supplier side – more flexible and safer. „Although the slump is still ongoing, Masterplast is continually thinkig of innovations that can further strenghten its market presence in the area of the building material industry. In the current economical climate the efforts made towards reinforced positions can return several times once the adverse economical situation gets better.” – said Mr. Dávid Tibor.
According to the company’s development strategy, over the next five years, they would like to invest around two and a half million euro in the region. „Our primary aspiration is to achive such developments, which can help Masterplast to further strengthen its market presence and at the same time – considering the present economic situation – can benefit from the opportunities afforded by the crisis. Therefore, we decided that our site in Kál and its production should get a key role – said Mr. Balázs Ács chief operational officer of Masterplast. As a first step, in the future, Masterplast will perform more technological investments in the field: they are going to develop products for the construction industry (corner bead profiles and drywall profiles) and the manufacturing technology of packaging industry products.
