The Masterplast Group Ltd. tries to take advantage of the time/period which remained till the boom by rationalizing the product line, and by strengthening the presence of the remaining product scale on the regional markets.
According to the surveys, the market expects the boom of building industry at longest 2011, that is why, till then, the preservation of stability is the main focus of the distributors.
While this year passed away in terms of correction, the next year has to be about the rationalization of the product line. The building industry will probably get over the decline - which is caused by the crisis- after 2011, so till that time it is needed to ’arrange the lines’.
According to the forecasts, some activities can be expected in case of demands in Hungary, at longest, for the second half of the next year. In case of profit, Masterplast - the leading building material producer and distributor company - mostly expects growth in the regional markets, in the Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic. In the first nine months of this year- and according to the signs until now- in the rest of the year also, similar tendency will be observed -in case of the market of those products which are in connection with renovation, modernization, savings of energy and overhead some - increase have been noticed, but the numbers of new estate buildings are constantly decreasing.
According to the professionals of Masterplast, this resulted significant relapse in building material industry.
On one hand, in case of facade thermal insulation product group, our achievements were above average, on the other hand, in case of roof foils we registered such decrease, that was beyond our former expectations-said Dávid Tibor, the CEO of Masterplast Group Ltd.
Using up the opportunities derived from the crisis, we would like to deal with the rationalization of the product line, whereby we can not only stabilize, but we can increase our market shares also on such segment markets, as facade thermal insulation systems, which are becoming more and more important nowadays. The Masterplast Group Ltd. in its 5 year-long strategical plan would like to concentrate on 4 main product group: these are the facade thermal insulation systems, roof foils and accessories, bituminuos corrugated plates, just as dry building profiles and accessories. According to the company’s mid-term plans they would like to increase the market shares, or rather cover the whole market completely, in the above-mentioned product groups.
Accordingly, there are such products, which are going to be lead out from the market, because they do not belong to the groups mentioned above, or they do not fit to our long-term strategical plans. -added Dávid Tibor, who took one of the product groups of tiled plates as an example. As less marketable products are concerned in the rationalization, it does not have a great effect on the revenue of the company, but it has on the expenses. This way, the Hungarian multinational company count upon a few percentage savings. Besides, the company would not like to change the direction of its product development, it focuses its innovative means furtherly on energy-, and expense savings, as well as environmental protection. For instance, resulting from the former developments, Masterplast Group Ltd. came out this year with the Passive Insulation System, which is unique in Hungary.
