EPS production
EPS production
Masterplast launched its EPS plant in Subotica, Serbia in 2008. The new plant has an annual production capacity of 500.000 m3. As a result of a 5 Million EUR greenfield investment the company began production in its new 6500 m2 plant using cost-efficient and modern production chain. Thanks to the modern technology, the plan uses 95% less water to produce EPS and has much a lower emission of greenhouse gases. EPS waste can be reused up to 100% which also contributes to a sustainable production. The increasing demand due to higher energy costs and stricter environmental regulations made the investment necessary. A big part of the products of the new plant will come to the booming Serbian market. The rest will be exported to Croatia, Romania and Slovenia. When deciding on the new location the management of the company considered also the available storage, administration and logistic capacities. Despite the increasing competition on the market of façade insulation systems we believe that our new high-quality equipments can reduce production costs and will help gain extra market share in the region. The demand for these products is expected to be fuelled also by the stricter regulations on energy efficiency.
